spacer The University of Milan joins Eduroam (Education Roaming) initiative for wi-fi roaming dedicated to users belonging to universities and research centers in Europe, Canada, USA, Brazil, Peru, New Zealand, Kenya, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong.

spacer Our guests, starting by visiting professors to Erasmus students, can access to the Internet in a secure way through wi-fi service. Guests have to use credentials of their university/research center (University and research center must have joined to Eduroam Federation).

spacer At the same way our professors and our staff visiting an Eduroam Federated university/research center can access to the Research Network, to the Internet and to the University authenticated services through wi-fi, with credentials provided by University of Milan. Users can use also the UniMI Digital Library, it will be necessary an additional authentication.

spacer Access method for @unimi.it users spacer
 
spacer It is appropriate to configure your own wi-fi device to use Eduroam roaming service. For the Eduroam access your device must support WPA2 Enterprise and you have to be in a University of Milan site covered by unimi hotspot service (hotspot service maps). You have to configure the following parameters:

spacer SSID: eduroam;
spacer Network Authentication: WPA2 Enterprise;
spacer Encryption: TKIP or AES;
spacer EAP Type: PEAP o EAP TTLS;
spacer Credentials: University credentials that is name.surname@unimi.it and your password.

spacer For Eduroam access your device must support WPA2 Enterprise. You have to configure the following parameters:
